Nelle is the owner and head trainer behind Furry Fundamentals Dog Training. As a Certified Professional Dog Trainer – Knowledge Assessed (CPDT-KA), Nelle brings a wealth of expertise and compassion to Cape Coral, Florida. A proud member of the Pet Professional Guild, Nelle is committed to force-free, fear-free training methods that emphasize kindness and respect. She also holds certifications in leash reactive dogs and trick training instruction.
With over 18 years dedicated to animal rescue, Nelle has not only contributed significantly to the welfare of animals but has also transformed the lives of more than 100 foster animals, specializing in those deemed hard to place due to behavioral challenges. Her journey through fostering has equipped her with a deep understanding of the struggles many dog guardians face and has honed her skills in nurturing dogs through patient, positive reinforcement techniques to help them become more adoptable.
Her work is driven by the belief that every dog and guardian can form a lasting, loving bond through understanding and positive, fear-free interactions. Whether you’re a novice pet parent or looking to advance your skills, Nelle’s experience and guidance ensure that Furry Fundamentals Dog Training is a place where clients of all levels can thrive alongside their furry companions.
When Nelle isn’t training your pup, she can be found volunteering at Cape Coral Animal Shelter or house sitting while you’re out of town!
